Our Eco Practices.

Practice what your preach.

Eco Friendly Practices of EcoSports Tours.

Sustainability is becoming an increasingly important part of running any organisation. One international study found that 80% of global consumers prefer supporting eco-friendly brands. This statistic is even higher in some countries, particularly Europe.

Most of us recognise that protecting the environment requires a commitment from all levels of society. This includes individuals, schools, sports clubs as well as businesses. Indeed, no organisation is too small, or too new, to start green initiatives.

What’s more, there are plenty of eco-friendly practices that will give your organisation a boost –– in addition to helping the environment.

Check out these three steps that EcoSports Tours has adopted in its everyday work practices:

Go Paperless

Paper consumption is, for most businesses, an unnecessary expense. Of course, using paper on a large scale is also bad for the environment. It’s almost always preferable, then, for a business to adopt a nearly-paperless plan of action.

The good news is, being able to access important documents remotely is also much more convenient and efficient for us all. Note, sometimes businesses may need to use paper products when dealing with important contracts or legal agreements. Beyond that, though, we have ditched the paper trail altogether.

Implement a Work-from-Home Policy

Research shows the average person commutes about 54 minutes every day. This leaves a large carbon footprint.

We are lucky within the travel service industry that all our staff can work from home without disrupting the normal functionality of the business. Implementing a work-from-home policy can be a tremendous step toward bolstering your business and your green efforts. A work-from-home policy will cut down on emissions caused by automobiles and public transport –– in addition to utilities within your office. EcoSports Tours is a businesses that allows employees to work remotely, which we feel will be a positive step to attract quality candidates to fill vacant positions.

Partner with a Charity

It’s never a bad decision to promote a worthy cause. Giving support to charitable organisations that fight for environmental protection is a worthwhile practice that businesses and individuals alike can carry out.

In 2020/2021 EcoSports Tours has partnered with Eco-Schools. Eco-Schools is a global programme engaging 19.5 million children across 67 countries, making it the largest educational programme on the planet. Eco-Schools empowers children to drive change and improve their environmental awareness through the simple Seven-Step framework in order to achieve the international Eco-Schools Green Flag award. The organisation also develops pupils’ skills, raises environmental awareness, improves the school environment and creates financial savings for schools as well as a whole host of other benefits.

At the end of the day, teaming up with a charity truly is a win-win proposition!

Make Sustainability Part of Your Everyday Life

Green practices are becoming a lot more important these days. Everyone should do their due diligence and make sure that they follow the right green business strategies.
