Who We Are
To cut a 20-year long journey short, the management team at EcoSports Tours are pioneers and veterans in the youth sports travel sector. As others within the sports travel industry have followed, we continue to lead and evolve, and so has the importance toward how we impact positively with the environment and connect with people in different ways.
EcoSports Tours is a small privately owned UK based operator that embraces diversity and flexible working practices that brings positive team cohesion to our staff and a strong customer focused approach. We particularly pride ourselves on our personal customer service through regular contact as well as an open approach during evening and weekends. We will only operate just enough groups each year to ensure a clear point of difference regarding the level and standard of customer service.

Tom Shorey
A veteran of the Sports Tour Industry having pioneered the concept of Pro Training Tour Experiences in 2001. Prior to entering the travel sector Tom worked for FIFA Marketing before returning to the UK as Commercial Director at the Welsh Rugby Union/ Principality Stadium.
Bryan Llorente
Noteworthy leader in the Sports Tour Industry, having operated hundreds of tailor made tours for schools and clubs from around the world. Before working in sport tourism, Bryan was involved in logistical planning of music and sport events for highly regarded events companies.
Jaume Canals
UEFA ‘A’ licensed coach & qualified Master of Football Coaching from the Spanish FA. He has a wide experience of managing and coaching at football academies in Spain. Jaume has been instrumental in delivering unique football development tour experiences across Europe.
Tommie Shorey
First Class Masters Graduate from Loughborough University with a strong interest and passion for sport. Recently returned to the UK from Dublin after working for a year in the aircraft leasing industry. Tommie has experience in working with party leaders to deliver high quality sports tours.
How It Started
After 15 years in the Sports Marketing Industry, including working for FIFA in Switzerland followed by a role as Commercial Director at the Welsh Rugby Union in Cardiff, Tom Shorey set about revolutionising the youth sports travel sector. In 2003, he established a niche sports travel business with a focus on experiential development tours for young team sport enthusiasts in collaboration with the top professional sports teams and national governing bodies across the world.
The concept is now firmly established in the market. Different operators have followed this lead and are delivering tour programs that continue to enrich young people’s lives and inspire them to achieve their goals.
Unfortunately, with increasing competition and consolidation in the market, often driven by private equity or third party investment, the primary focus for many operators seems to be about maximising profit often to the detriment of customers. Due to other priorities, many sport travel operators also lack foresight and sensitivity toward the growing important demands of environmental issues.
