Financial Protection.

The UK law says any sports tour holiday must be protected if it is a package (two or more different elements). You will be pleased to know that EcoSports Tours take your financial protection very seriously. For our complete peace of mind, and most importantly yours too, and with some hard lessons learned by many consumers as a result of COVID-19, we wanted a 'belt and braces' way to provide all of our clients with 100% financial protection.

We are members of Protected Trust Services (PTS) membership number 5675, who provide the highest level of financial protection in the travel industry.

We provide complete consumer protection in simple ways:

  • You book a sports tour from EcoSports Tours Limited.

  • All deposits and balances we collect from you are paid directly into an independently controlled trust account.

  • You are provided with a link to the PTS system which allows you to confirm we have your money in the trust account.

  • We arrange all payments for your sports tour to go direct from the trust account to our suppliers. These payments are checked and authorised by the independent trustees.

  • Once a supplier has been paid, an added layer of protection is provided by supplier failure insurance (SFI) and, in the case of a supplier being an airline, scheduled airline failure insurance (SAFI).

  • You will always be protected against the insolvency of EcoSports Tours or any of our suppliers from the time you make your first deposit payment until after you have travelled.

The Trust Account 

Solicitors and accountants have always had to hold their customers money in trust accounts. The principle is very simple; it is your money so your chosen specialist travel company should hold it separately and not use it to run their business.

ATOL

Under our membership of Protected Trust Services, we also hold our own Air Travel Organiser’s Licence (ATOL No. 12039), offering our customers financial protection for any flight inclusive sports tour package sold by EcoSports Tours to a school or club based in the UK. Upon receipt of your first deposit payment, you will be issued with an ATOL certificate confirming the tour inclusions.
